Public sector workers, through unions, called for a wage increase of 2.91 percent.
This increase would that be done in the first half of the year, based on cumulative inflation last year by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC), was 5.82 percent.
In addition, for non-professional workers called for a rise of 4.16 percent.
